Does price or brand name matters in the purchase of running shoe?

Both these factors play an important role in the purchase of a running shoe. While buying a running shoe, it is always wise to go for prominent brands as they possess almost all the features that are expected from a running shoe. Even there are some features that might be present in a particular brand alone.

As far as price is concerned, it can be said that it is prudent to go for medium priced running shoes. It is needless to invest a lot on running shoes as they are comparatively less durable and need to be replaced sooner or later irrespective of its price. Avoid purchase of extremely cheap shoes as they usually fail to provide the advantages that are sought from a running shoe. Also the longevity of such shoes is very low.
