Basically I’m a basketball player but I like to play tennis at free time. Shall I wear my basketball shoes for tennis?

Basketball shoe are made to jump easier and in-built with better arch support. But tennis is a game where you to have run side-to-side on the court. You can get better support if you wear basketball shoes for tennis but the basketball shoes are quite heavier than the tennis shoes. So, you won't be able to make quick sidewise movements while playing tennis. Apart from these, basketball shoes are designed for floors and not exclusive for outdoor courts. So, it's better to avoid basketball shoes for tennis.
