Kate Spade, born in Kansas City, Missouri (1962) is the woman behind the grandeur label Kate Spade New York. She got her master degree in journalism from Arizona State University. From her teen age she was keen about fashion and craved for developing innovative couture designs on her own.

Kate Spade is well-known for her adroitness of shoes as well as handbags. Now she remains as the hottest shoes and accessory designer for the younger generations all over the world.

Company: This Savvy business woman currently owns 25 boutiques throughout the world. Majority of her shops are located in the United States while other boutique locations carry with 5 stores in Japan, 3 in Hong Kong and one in Philippines. Kate Spade’s present signature lines include a wide variety of handbags, and accessories as well as complete collections of shoes and ready-to-wear clothing.

In 2004, she received "Giants of Design Award from House Beautiful magazine for Tastemaker", and American Food and Entertaining Award for Designer of the Year from Bon Appetit, as well as Elle Decor International Design Award for Bedding from Elle Decor.
