Donald J Pliner the exuberant shoe designer born with a silver shoe horn in his mouth was born and brought up in Chicago, Illinois. He learned all the tools and techniques of shoemaking from his father Leo in their family owned Pliner's Florsheim Family Shoe Stores.

Today he stands himself as a symbol of a great couturier of shoes in the high end world of fashion. His collections of shoes are outrageous and exotic in look. He is outstanding in his brilliant skills of crafting shoes.

Company: Donald established his first retail store in Pappagallo Beverly Hills in 1967 that gave a grandstand hit sales of $1 million in the first year itself. His next achievement was Right Bank Clothing Co. Located on Camden Drive in Beverly Hills, which became a source for fashion. Gradually after three years the store was changed to Right Bank Shoe Co. that served as market for the European designers like Thierry Mugler, Basile, Castelbajac, Maud Frizon, Stephane Kelian, Arche, Bisonte and Trussardi.

In Field Since: He entered into the career of shoe designing by first working as an apprentice to his father in their family work shop Pliner's Florsheim Family Shoe Stores. He kick started his career in 1967 when he opened his own retail shoe store at Pappagallo Beverly Hills.
