Natalie Portman, fashion muse and style icon of Hollywood, launches her own line of vegan-friendly footwear by teaming up with the New York label Té Casan. The company website says "Portman worked closely throughout to maintain quality standards and an exceptional design aesthetic. Dazzling, playful, elegant and free of animal products, each shoe exudes the starlet's own personal style."

The president of Té Casan, Yaniv Shirazi, says "We met with Kate and Natalie to discuss what Natalie was looking to do and it was immediately clear that this would be a fantastic collaboration...There are so few animal-free collections out there, and Natalie's ideas were really great, in terms of style."

The Golden Globe-winning actress is reluctant to wear animal products and is a vegetarian since from her childhood who always has fine interest in animal-friendly living. Regarding her Vegan footwear Portman says "It is a decision I made because of my love for animals, but it is also much better for the environment...It is very difficult to find non-leather shoes that are beautiful and comfortable."

All proceedings will be donated to The Nature Conservancy, a non profit organization. You can check out Natalie Portman Collection in Té Casan Website and pre order is available from January 15.
